We slept well in the
La Seine Hotel by Burasari in
Vientiane, Laos last night.
Today we will depart from Vientiane and return to
Lat Krabang, Thailand.
We arranged a taxi through the hotel to take us to the airport at half past ten.
No need to set an alarm, we have plenty of time.
After a quiet breakfast we pack, and then we check out. At exactly half past ten the taxi is waiting in front of the hotel.
Half an hour later we are at the Wattay Airport
of Vientiane.
It is a small airport and it is very quiet.
We look around because we cannot check in yet, the desk is not open yet.
We buy coffee at two shops, we liked the coffee from Laos last year.
Upon check-in, the desk clerk asks about Tom's plans (Pia travels with her Thai passport)
in connection with the 30-day visa waiver upon arrival in Bangkok.
Tom doesn't have a ticket to the next destination yet, but a credit card with enough
spending limit is apparently good too.
Everything is fine without much hassle.
Everything went smoothly at the baggage check and immigration as well.
We finish our last Lao money and drink our last Beer Lao IPA.
Thai Smile's plane departs twenty minutes before
the scheduled time, and we are also twenty minutes earlier in Bangkok at
Suvarnabhumi Airport.
Immigration in Bangkok is difficult because Tom has not put the house number of his
residence address on the arrival card.
Pia brings a solution by coming up with a house number.
We take a taxi home, and it appears to be very hot in Bangkok.
We calmly unpack and clean up everything, not so much work.
It will be a quiet evening.

We tell what we have done and experienced during a trip and we also tell what we think about it; no more and no less.
This is not a travel guide, nor is it advice to visit a place or not.
There are other sites for that.
Our opinion about places where we have eaten, drunk or slept is not intended as a (positive or negative) assessment,
there are other sites for that.
It is our view of the situation at a certain moment and that view is influenced by our mood,
the weather and many other factors.
